If you are Canadian you know who Terry Fox is.  He was a man who was stuck by cancer at his peak that required him to have his right leg amputated.  He decided to run across Canada to raise awareness of this horrible disease and as a result become a symbol of the struggle against cancer as well as a national monument and treasure.

"Fight" is my homage to the man, who defied his doctors and his fate and helped usher in the age of awareness of cancer as we understand it today.

If you ask me, our reaction to the "age of terror" has just been insane.  We are becoming conditioned as a society to be scared of everything.  We're told to be afriad to fly, to drive, to be scared of unattended bags, suspicious packages, strangers, anyone different, people with beards, women with burkas.  We've really lost our minds on this.

I can envision a future where -in order for governments to maintain our fear levels- we will be asked to keep on eye out for the terrorists latest play to bring down Western civilization: terror bunnies.  Jihadi rabbits bent on bringing down our governments.

Like many of my political pieces, this isn't for everyone.  But if you want something on your wall that is gauranteed to be a conversation piece -or if you just like rabbits- then this is the piece for you!

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright,
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry? 

One of my favourite poems starts with an ode to a Tiger.  So why not make a painting about one?

"Tiger, Tiger" is a bright, colourful painting framing a tiger's piercing gaze against his orange, black, and white stripes.  By doing so, I get a nice abstract effect, even though it's very clear what the subject matter is.

Windows are fascinating.  Depending on which side you are on, you'll see ether the world outside or the privacy inside.

With this piece, I wanted to focus on the lone window in a bright, colourful scene.  This piece is large, and as such it will dominate whatever wall it is on.  It requires a bold art lover to appreciate it's impact.
